I attended a conference in SECC and found this hotel to be very useful for this target.
The shower is problematic and the room is narrow and basic but good value for the money if you dont have high standarts. The staff was very kind, helpful and did not disturb us. The place is surruonded by resturunts cafe and pubs 20 min walk from downtown glasgow.

I spend a week at this hotel, if I could have I would have moved. I had to move room because the bed was broken and the carpet was very dirty. The next room was equally as bad. In fact I never slept in the bed I slept on top and used my towel and my coat as a cover. It was the worst nightmare. I did not have breakfast there, so I cannot comment on that. I was working 7am til 11 pm and had no chance to find another room. The hotel rooms I saw are nothing like the photos be warned

This hotel is located in a good area and central for visiting many attractions in Glasgow. The Hotel itself was unclean, the carpets were dirty and no hot water. Whilst the cost of the rooms was reasonable, the additional cost to upgrade to a better hotel is worth while.

Great location for SECC, cheap but very dated and dirty. Also noisey and staff could be more helpful especially at breakfast.

Me and a friend stayed here mid october 2008 and althoug it was not the most expensive hotel it was not value for money. We had a double room with shared bathroom.
I have never seen such a dirty room... I have no idea what color the carpet once was, or the ceiling for that matter. The beds were so worn that my friend could not sleep because it made so much noise every time I turned. This was the first day of our scottish holiday and I had back aches the rest of the trip.
Also the shared bathroom was so small that you could hardly turn when you had closed the door, it was also quite dirty.
That being said, I think they had started a renovation process, at least I hope so, since doors had been blocked etc. The staff was quite friendly and the breakfast was ok.
If you are going to stay in this hotel, please make sure they have acutally completed the renovation or you will be sorry you paid money for a room here.

i gave this an above average review for the value you get for your money, i stayed there with my boyfriend in a double room after not being able to find anywere else to stay, walk in - 46 pounds for the night , the bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom looked brand new and really clean,it was one of the better bathrooms i have seen in a budget hotel yet and just as nice as the premiere inns bathrooms,

the room was basic but spacious, there was a kettle with tea coffee etc...the only downfall i would say is that we were given room 3 which shared a wall with the reception so we could every single person checking in and out noiseily,
i would reccomend staying there for the price location and cleanlyness but do not stay in room 3 and dont exspect a smile from the reception wen u leave she was to busy playing soltaire on her computer!

I used this B&B for a weekend break. At £38/night for a single en-suite room it is on the cheap side for Glasgow.
The location is good being just on the edge of the city centre which is a 5 to 10 minute taxi ride away. There are good bus links from at the hotel. There are several places to eat within walking distance plus some nice pubs.
For car users - there is a v. small off street car park. From Friday 6pm to Monday 8am there is free on street parking by the hotel. A word of warning, researching hotels in central Glasgow I found many have no free off/on street parking, car parks in Glasgow are expensive.
The room - in good decorative order and everything worked. The en-suite was spotlessly clean. The only critiseim is the lighing is a bil dull. My room was at the front which is onto a main road so there is some traffic noise.
Breakfast was satisfactory.
I used this hotel a couple of years ago and had a basic room without en-suite. Very cheap at around £25 but it was a bit tatty. If using this hotel go for the en-suite rooms.
If going back to Glasgow this is a hotel I would consider using again.
