We have just returned from a most enjoyable stay at the Dunvagan, St Andrews. The owners, Jack & Sheena could not have been more friendly and helpful. The food was excellent (both bar meals and restaurant) as was the service. The rooms are en-suite, have TV, tea/coffee making facilities and are well-appointed.Obviously due to St Andrews being "The Home of Golf", the hotel is very popular with golfers and there are numerous photographs and endorsements from famous players, past and present. There is a 9 iron on the wall which was used by a customer to hit a golf ball, from the road outside the hotel, onto the 18th hole on the "Old Course".If you are in Fife, it is well worth a visit.
