“Absolutely AMAZING!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012 via mobile

This is a lovely museum that has everything a golfer needs to know about golf. A great place to go after a round on the old course, and the staff are very attentive. It is also great for kids, as there are a few quizzes to keep you interested and alert. There is even a chance to have a go at putting, which is great fun. It is also free between christmas and the new year, which is great value for money.

“Hole in one!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012 via mobile

Had a little time to spare whilst in St. Andrews and saw this museum and it was free. I don't play golf but .... "When in Rome". It was really interesting, well laid out, friendly staff and plenty of photos, videos and even the chance to have a go of the claret jug and put on a green surrounded by the sounds of the open.

Excellent location and a good and reseaonably priced shop to pick up a present for my keen golfer of a dad.

Thanks very much and defiantly worth a visit.

“dont miss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

a few steps across from the R& A club building, found the admission price a little steep- £6 per adult,£5 for a student.but we had a warm welcome and were then each given an interesting brochure, detailing most of the exhibits/ contents. thought one per party would be enough, then the admission could be maybe £4-5 ?. the museum was immaculate, the contents well thought out. there were areas for school parties and some interactive elements, otherwise maybe not so fascinating for younger children. we especially enjoyed the section with golfers from last few decades, and their personal possesions donated for show ( clubs.gloves, clothing, used in major matches).worth going to the museum just for that( if you are a golf lover of course!) .try to squeeze in an hour if you have an interest. the affection and pride they have there for golf is clear to see

All the history one would ever want about the origins of golf. Great artifacts. Easy interesting viewing and well laid out. Probably worth 2 visits to cover all the detail.

“British golf Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Another must see for any golfer and especially for the lover of the history of golf. This museum takes you through golf from it's inception up to modern day golf. Very well layed out and close to the "Old Course" and within easy walking distance from downtown and most hotel locations.
