Stayed here in what must have been the coldest and wettest june ever! As a result the whole place cold yet I felt I had to beg for central heating to be put on, even though i was with my elderly mum! Not the first time I've been in a place which says they can't heat the whole place for 2 guests (personally I don't see why not...). Stayed in ground floor garden room - very accessible. We did get electric heaters brought in - but breakfast room was cold throughout our stay, despite requests for heating to be put on for longer! Website advertises cosy log fire burning - it would be best to state in winter, as there was no sign of it even though it was cold enough. Having said that we were asked if we would like the fire lit, but only on our last night... Central Heating eventually came on in our room in the morning, but started to leak - and despite raising my concerns about this, no-one really checked it till the last day - by which point I had had to use several sodden towels to pop up! Was very surprised to only get a reduction on bill when I asked - not what I'd expect from any place, never mind somewhere advertising itself as luxurious... Having said that grounds are beautiful and breakfast was lovely - but it didn't make up for the cold...
