I cannot find any other words than have all ready been said to say just how good this place is. Airlie is a most welcoming host, the location is lovely and quiet, the facilities are great and the wee dog, Jake, charming. Ideal for touring the area and St Andrews in particular. If we are ever in this area again this is where we will try to stay. Probably the best B&B we have stayed in.

Very comfortable, spacious accomodation. Proprietor very friendly and welcoming. Excellent choice of good quality food available at breakfast. Approximately 3 miles from centre of St Andrews. Single track, reasonably well-maintained track to B & B.

This is one of the nicest places we have stayed. Lovely food, pristine airy room with lots of extras. Ipod/laptop use is well catered for. "Guest information" is extensive.
A lot of thought has gone into this B & B. It is outside of town certainly but quiet and peaceful with no parking problems. If you have no car, not far by taxi and if Airlie is free she is happy to run you into St Andrews.
We had a meal at the Tavern which was also excellent,(recommended by Airlie in the Guest info).

N.B. Airlie's homemade museli is to be recommended. I am hoping to replicate this at home!

Room Tip: A narrow farm track leading to the house from the main road but lovely big room with en suite.

Spent a week-end with my husband in St. Andrews. Decided to try somewhere just on the outskirts of town to prevent having any parking issues etc. Found this little gem. Great B & B, lovely choice for breakfast, all freshly made. Starters were numerous and fresh fruit salad also provided. Large lounge area for guests to sit and watch tv or relax. Brand new en-suite shower room. Airlie is the name of the lady running the B & B who is so helpful is advice is needed.

Will return.

Room Tip: There are only two rooms. We had the one with two windows.

We loved the Millhouse! What a wonderful, quiet place to stay! It's in a field about a half mile from St. Andrews. Earlie is a wonderful hostess and cook! The breakfasts were very tasty and filling!

The only thing I would suggest is take your GPS with you and Telephone so you can call Earlie! Once you get there it's easy to see where you are.

You'll love it! The fat pigeons are fun to watch!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!

What a wonderful surprise the Millhouse in St, Andrews was. It's located in a small farmstead about 2 miles outside of St. Andrews. There are 360 degree views of beautiful farmland, the ocean and St. Andrews.

While the Millhouse was an actual working horse mill back in the day, it's anything but historic inside. It's a gorgeous lodge which looks brand new with hardwood floors, a large reading/TV room and beautiful second floor accommodations. Everything was spotless

Our room had an outstanding view and was large and comfortable with a BIG new bathroom.

The Millhouse had all the amenities you could ask for. Airlie is a fabulous cook and one of the nicest and sincere people we met in an entire month of traveling. She also makes the most incredible granola and cooks a hot breakfast to order on top of it.

We certainly missed Airlie and the Millhouse on the rest of our trip. It was the best night sleep we had and the most we felt at home and welcomed.

Room Tip: Room 2 - Beautiful views of St. Andrews.

booked millhouse for a rare night away from our daughter and to attend a wedding reception, on arrival luckily not getting too lost, due to airlie's great online instructions, we were very pleased to see our accomodation for the evening. Our welcome was great the room was spacious and absolutly spottless, also the in room services ie. tea, coffee, bathroom cosmetics were fantastic!
The bed was very comfortable which aided a great nights sleep.
For breakfast, which we decided to pre order the night of arrival and chose the time we wished to eat, Airlie laid on a amazing spread tea/ coffee, toast and fresh juice and condiments then came the star of the show, cooked when we came down to the table, it was perfect and i must say one of the best poached eggs i've ever had!!
I would definately recommened millhouse and will be sure to book here if we ever head back to st andrew in the future, it was outstanding value for money.
