We stayed at Annandale house on a recent trip to Scotland. We only had one night to stay in St. Andrews, and Annandale could not have been in a more perfect spot! It is just down the street from the waterfront and an easy walk to St. Andrews Castle and Cathedral. There are also plenty of restaurants within a few blocks. Due to a family emergency, the owner could not be on hand to greet us when we arrived, but arrangements were easily made for us to pick up our key and get to our room. The room itself wasn't bad, but if you're looking for something sumptuous, this isn't it. Think upscale dorm room. Also, we were on the top floor which may have contributed to the lack of hot water in the shower. The breakfast was basic, but served with a smile. The location of Annandale House made it a good deal for us.
