“Warm place to stay out of the "Scottish Sunshine"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

We arrived in Kirkcaldy to rain and fog but the sunlight and warmth that shone from Linda's personality warmed us up right away. We came to Kirkcaldy to see where my grandfather grew up, where my father spent his holidays and to meet cousins from my dad's side of the family. The location of the B&B, within walking distance from the train station, made it a very convenient place to settle down for us as we hadn't a rental car booked for this vacation. The breakfasts were divine!!! I wish I could have such selection and service everyday. Having internet access in the room was great as we were able to connect with family and friends back home and pass along our adventures.

If I was to come back to Kirkcaldy I would be looking up Linda and Harry for another visit.

I stayed last weekend with my sister for a family wedding and was amazed by the hospitality offered at Invertiel. We phoned last minute from the train to request access to an iron as we were running v late and found it all set up waiting for us when we arrived. The triple room we were given was spotless and so comfy and the selection of chocolate and fruit was a nice surprise. The bathroom was modern , very clean and well stocked with towels etc. I have to say one of the nicest things was coming back after the wedding to find our beds turned down and chocolates on our pillows and a little note to tell us breakfast times as we had been in such a rush earlier we hadn't had time to ask. The following morning we were given an amazing breakfast which was leisurely and when it came time to leave Harry gave us a lift to town as it was foul weather and my sister had forgot to bring appropriate clothing. All in all if I'm up this way again i would definately use this b&b. Its hard to imagine getting better service anywhere else.

We stayed at Invertiel last weekend overnight, and i can honestly say it was one of the best travel experiences ive ever had. Our triple room was quiet and more than comfortable, with everything you'd expect from a good bed and breakfast and some delightful wee extras also !. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was clean and well presented . I loved our fabulous breakfasts the next day, beautifully cooked and more than enough !! . Harry and Linda are great people, so friendly and helpful :). All in all an amazing b&b experience....the only drawback is that we didnt get to stay longer !!!! xxx Well done Invertiel, we will be back God willing !! xxx

Not the biggest or the prettiest place we've ever stayed, but by far the friendliest. Every need was catered for; tv with dvd player, ipod connectivity, every toiletry you could ever want, fruit and mints in the room, and a really comfy bed. We didn't stay for breakfast, but we really wish we did because it smelled amazing. Our hosts were lovely people, very understanding, and seemed like they were made for this sort of business. If we ever go back to the area, we would stay here no question.

My husband stayed with his golfing partner for two nights in march. Triple room with en suite which was very quiet and comfy. Fantastic breakfast and very friendly and helpfull owners. Numerous golf courses nearby. He is planning a return trip to Kirkcaldy in october and will be staying again at Invertiel.

I stayed here with two colleagues and we were all bowled over by the welcome, The rooms , condition of the house, location and attention to detail- Fruit and chocolates in room was a lovely touch
The Breakfast (as has been mentioned by many people) was out of this world.Stunning selection of cereal, pastries and juices. Then an amazing choice of hot items too.

Highly Recommended
