I've stayed at this Travelodge twice recently, the first time for one night in June and more recently for three nights (10th, 11th, 12th July).
The place is pretty new so it is obviously still in good condition.
The rooms at a Travelodge are *very* basic. They are well-laid out though and not too cramped.
The staff we met were nice and friendly.
There isn't much in the immediate area, apart from a BP filling-station with a well-stocked shop, and a Chinese buffet restaurant, which we didn't try.
My main gripe concerns the lack of air-conditioning. During our recent stay there was something of a heatwave in Fife. Our room was like an oven and the bathroom was literally like a sauna; there wasn't even an extractor fan in there! It was unbearably hot at all hours of the day.
The windows have child safety-locks on them, only permitting the slightest gap of about 2cm: useless in terms of letting in 'fresh air'.
In order to sleep we had to soak towels in cold-water and drape them over us. Ridiculous.
We paid £65 a night for our recent 3-night stay. The place was full-to-capacity, due to The Open in St. Andrews.
New hotels being built nowadays *need* air-conditioning - even in Scotland.
