“Not-So-Premier Inn”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Poor accommodation, basic and uncomfortable. Didn't go anywhere near the expectations created by the tv-advertised Premier Inn accommodation. It was clean enough and staff encountered were friendly/helpful enough, but I'm really glad it was only a one-night sleepover and not a weekend or longer accommodation. Didn't feel private enough when inside the room, with constant banging and footsteps from upstairs, which continued throughout the duration of our stay. There was no area outside for smokers - don't mind going outside to smoke but hanging around the front door isn't exactly a comfortable position, and despite the 'no smoking at the door' sign, this was the only place an ashtray was provided around the hotel. Hotel was affiliated with the nearby Brewers Fayre for meals/breakfasts etc, but on approaching the restaurant were faced with "at least a half-hour wait to be seated". Would not stay again, and would not recommend, disappointed.

Every aspect of this hotel was great, from the extremely pleasant staff to the very
comfortable , clean rooms to the price. The free, and 24 hour, wifi were a very welcome addition to our stay. The kids had full access to there friends with their ipods. Breakfast was also excellent at the adjoining Brewers Fayre. £8.25 and eat as much as you like from a great selection. Sounds a bit pricey but kids up to 16 eat free and my 15 year old son can eat lots. Enjoyed by all. We definitely recommend the Premier Inn Dunfermline.

stayed here with my partner and our two children aged 5 and 7 nice room and two single made up beds for the children in the room the children said they were a bit to hard but they did sleep well i did not think they were to hard but that's kids for you, very nice breakfast could not have wanted more all staff were nice and friendly will be coming back to stay here, the hotel was easy to find even though we did get lost as well, lots for kids to do close by.

Room Tip: all rooms are the same to me

We booked here last minute due to poor weather and an early track day at Knockhill.
It was a bit noisy with very creaky floorboards above us but we managed to sleep, we got it for a good price so for what we paid it was fine as it was nice and clean and well placed for the track.
I will stay there again if it is the cheapest one I can find.

I have stayed here a few times and its always been a good stay.the beds are comfortable and the rooms have everything you need for a good stay.the staff are really helpful wether you are looking for boarding pass's printed out or any information.the town of swords is 15 minute walk or you can catch a bus from the stop on the main road beside the hotel either in the direction of swords or the city centre which is a 35 minute bus ride.swords is a nice little town with lots of bars, clubs and resteraunts as well as shops.there are also a number of places to eat beside the hotel and a big club.i would defiantly stay here again.

The hotel is located near lots of restaurants, cinema and bowling. We were here for 1 night. The staff at the hotel were really friendly, service was spot on. We were given a voucher for a restaurant we were attending, which was unexpected and thoughtful when we mentioned where we were headed. A good choice of premier inn, would definatly recommend!

This hotel is very conveniently located just off the M90, in a retail/entertainment park, so there are plenty of fast food/chain restaurant eating options. Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Our room was clean, adequately sized, and the bedding comfortable. The bathroom was also clean; the shower was easy to operate, with a good jet of water. If all you want is a clean and comfortable place to rest your head for the night, this hotel is perfect.
They give you 30 minutes free wi-fi, after a long registration process. I don't know why hotels in this country don't give all their guests unlimited free wi-fi, as is common in most of Europe and USA.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor room on the opposite side to McDonalds. The hotel is surrounded by car parks...
