“lunch with the Orwins”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Had a delicious lunch on Saturday 18th May 2013 at Fabric in Dunfermline . there was seven of us and we were catered for with polite pleasant waiting staff, seats moved about to accommodate us too . The seafood soup was the best and the chicken was cooked to perfection, my husband had the mussels which he also enjoy so much. Two members of the party had the chicken club sandwich which was the perfect choice for the hungry pair. !

“Service is terrible”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

My wife and I have been to this establishment on several occasions for food and drink or just drinks and find the staff and service are terrible. The food and drink on offer are certainly well above average for Dunfermline but the service lets this place down every time.
I will return I'm sure, as I want this place to do well.

“Lovely venue but service very poor!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013 via mobile

I have been here several times now and service never been great but today extremely poor. Lack of similar competition makes complacent. Had lunch good but portions small and not value for money. Had to wait on main course and dessert. Even later ordered cocktails which took over half an hour to appear despite several reminders, same throughout.

“Very disappointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

Visit here regularly and normally ignore any problems but today was the ultimate in poor service. As usual they didn't have enough champagne to cater for a Saturday lunchtime. We took the alternative, only to have it sprayed all over us by the inept waiter, with no apology. I made the mistake of choosing a starter from the a la carte and a main from the deal of the day. This time, it couldn't be accommodated despite the fact that it has been on every other occasion. Thai mussels ok but only about a dozen mussels. Battered cod main course, ok. At this point our waiter had deserted us so we asked another about desserts. She gave us meal of the day only and after prompting re a la carte choices admitted to one other, which we took. Overall very disappointing. Staff are surly and don't understand customer service, and food is average. We spent over £150 for lunch and won't be back. Listed complaints to staff member but her hands were tied and obviously couldn't be held accountable for other staff's attitudes. Much better choice and attitudes only 20 minutes away -Edinburgh!

“Decent bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

only been in a handful of times but the service has always been prompt (unusual for a lot of bars) and there is a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. You can't really ask for more.
