“Sunday Lunch at hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012 via mobile

Our family went with a group of friends for Sunday Lunch after my wife had enjoyed lunch when she had been to the craiglee with friends. The staff were friendly and coped with multiple payments for the bill without a blink. Food was excellent and there was plenty of it. It tasted freshly made and the cost was great. I almost didn't put this on because this is a little hidden gem and i wanted to keep it that way- but they deserve to be praised and to have success.

“lovely food!!! Great friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

We were there last night for dinner, first time eating in there, we were very pleased with the food we ate, and the lovely people who served us. Pate was lovely, the garlic mushrooms were really tasty, and the salad garnish very fresh. We both had the "credit crunch" steak, £9.95 each, and it was fantastic... onion rings, skin on fries, mushrooms, tomatoes, and peppercorn sauce, fantastic price...I couldn't finish mine!! The only criticism I have is the wine was not to our liking, so we drank it quickly while it was cold, not the nicest taste... We will be back again cannot fault the food or service!! We are having Christmas dinner there, so I hope the food is on par with what we have last night.

“Amazing value steak!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012 via mobile

The credit crunch sizzler was amazing value - a lovely piece of fillet steak with the usual accompaniments for £9.95. The chips were a bit hit and miss but overall it was great. The decor is looking a bit dated but the food is always good - been for a few meals now.

“Massive portions of good pub grub. We will be back. Only complaint is no premium lager on draught.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

We came after a recommendation but weren't sure what to expect. What a pleasant surprise. The service was warm and friendly. We both had nachos to start & we could easily have shared 1. For main I had macaroni which was the best I've had in a pub. Hubby had chicken fajitas and he thoroughly enjoyed them. You hear them sizzling before you see them and they are tasty & plentiful. We were disappointed that the only draught lagers were Fosters and Tennents. Overall we are glad to have discovered this gem.

“Excellent pub food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

I have had lunch and dinner here and everything I have eaten has been excellent. The prices are very reasonable and I would definitely recommend the steak pie! Best pub food in the local area in my opinion.
