We telephoned this restaurant on a mid week day (Wednesday) and asked to book a table for the Saturday..
The lady took our name,telephone number,and the time we would like the table for..
During the booking process,the lady did say "they had a big party booked in for that night,and it might be a bit loud" ok I said,bit of atmosphere,we can cope with that..
Saturday came,we got dressed up and arrived at the restaurant,about 15 minutes before our time,only to be told "they were full,and they could not accommodate us that night"
No, sorry we say,we have a booking.Another lady comes along and says " sorry we are full, the only seats we can give you is at this big table" which we could see had been set out for a large party celebrating a birthday,"or you can sit and wait until another couple had finished their meal"..Which they had clearly just started..Sit and watch others eat? no thank you...
So,instead of saying to us on the phone when we made the booking,that they were sorry they were full, they allowed us to get all dressed up,then appear at the restaurant,only to be told."Sorry we cannot accommodate you this evening"
Left with no choice,we walked out,and had to go and look for somewhere else,that wanted our business,for that evening..
Sorry,but we wont try and re book.We were totally disappointed by the whole situation..

Thanks for your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the problems that you encountered on Saturday evening. We had extremely large party in the restaurant as well as a number of walk-in bookings which were seated by our waiting staff. There was a significant communications break-down which resulted in all seats being occupied and the restaurant becoming full. I can only apologise and offer you two free main courses on your return to the restaurant. We strive for great customer service at Lanna and appreciate that is not acceptable.
