“Still Simply The Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012 via mobile

Again we had the best fish & chips one could ask for cooked to perfection. A slight increase in price but amazing quality ( mind you it was almost a year since we last visited) The owner was most welcoming and staff as friendly as I could remember. In a whole a wonderful experience.

“worst humanly possible thing one can do to a piece of fish and potatoes!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012 via mobile

WORST fish and chips I've ever had in my life. the batter was greasy and soggy - just plain gross, really. the chips looked like they have been sitting there for the whole day. the owner/cook obviously has no idea what fried food is supposed to taste like.

and it cost me £8.35... 35 pence for a small packet of ketchup. I mean, I'd paid more for good fish & chips elsewhere. but this? seriously you can't even pay me to eat that crap again.

I'm not eating fishes, but this fish & chips was delicious. But little expensive for young czech students in 2004.
Thank you The Clam Shell.

“Worst place we have ever eaten.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

Every thing was fried in old cooking fat, terrible tangy taste, tried to charge £1.60 for a small cup of tap water. Eat at your peril.
