Scallops, pigeon, lobster, turbot...in sauces...divine. Service perfect. This place delivers on all levels...taste, ambience. So glad we chose this place. Not cheap - thankfully - because this is special.

“Fantastic lunch, top value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We stopped here for lunch on Saturday and whilst the menu was restricted to just the lunch menu (a la carte in the evening) it was £12 for 2 courses, £15 for 3 and very good value.
We rang 10 mins before to book a table and there was space, it wasnt completely full, but certainly busy.
Really tasty food, well presented, right sized portions and excellent quality.
Service, which can so often detract, was spot on
Local salmon served hot and cold, followed by a creamy risotto, delicate pork belly and cheese.

“You MUST eat here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013 via mobile

The lunchtime set price menu is fantastic and the black pudding is superb. We had the duck and pork to follow which was truly excellent. As mentioned on another review the attention to detail was evident and the service friendly and fast. Thoroughly recommended especially the price of £15.

“Cool but not hot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013 via mobile

The atmosphere is terrific and cool. The the staff were SpotOn the food was very. Good . Value for money no. I am a real believer in warm bread missed the mark there. My rib eye for 26 gbp could have better although it wants bad. So like I say cool but not hot. Go enjoy

“Eat Here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

Brilliant Scottish produce served in a brilliantly converted loft. The food was delicious, with so many tempting dishes you'll want to go back. The staff were friendly, funny and very accommodating to orders that strayed slightly from the menu. All this happening in a wonderful wooded surrounding.
