We chose the hotel as we were flying late in to Edinburgh. We selected an advanced payment room rate of £79 for four sharing and it was exceptional value as it included free parking for the 7 days we were away. Staff were extremely friendly (mostly non-Scots) and the room was big enough for the four of us (our girls are aged 8 and 14). The breakfast was of an excellent standard and served until 1200 at the weekend. We asked for a late departure and were offered 1400 which was just what we wanted. Enjoyed the pool.

Free internet access (20 mins) at the reception. Location is good for Edinburgh airport (£11 taxi ride). Located next to Edinburgh Park rail station and an out of town shopping centre.

After being quoted crazy prices for hotels in central Edinburgh for our Saturday night stay, we opted for the Novotel Edinburgh Park. What a brilliant choice it turned out to be! Check-in was efficient, our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean and without exception all the staff we encountered were professional, cheerful and helpful. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel (with CCTV coverage) and direct train access to central Edinburgh (10 minutes to Waverley Station) is only a couple of minutes walk away. A late night taxi back from central Edinburgh (the Royal Mile) cost £17. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was good with plenty of choice and no need to wait for a table.

All in all a great choice and terrific value for a short break in Edinburgh.

After some trouble of getting into the hotel, we managed to find it. Beware that there is loads of road/building works going on and the post code on the website will take you to dead end and you will have to go all the way back (as we did). It may be different now, they may have finished the works, but when we were there, it was a nightmare.
The hotel was very quiet, room was nice size. The breakfast was cooked to order. Good stay for 1 night but for longer I would choose somewhere else.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Novotel recently on a whirlwind trip of Scotland. I can't say enough good things. Top of the mark! Our room was clean and roomy; the bathroom was gorgeous!; the desk staff were cheerful, friendly and extremely helpful; and the restaurant and bar wait staff were absolutely the best. The train to downtown Edinburgh is only about a 5-minute walk away so very convenient. A stay here is a breath of fresh air when traveling in Great Britain!

I regularly stay at this hotel when I am in Edinburgh.

The hotel provides excellent customer service with nice, comfortable rooms. The food is good and the staff in the lounge bar are really friendly.

I resently had a problem with the phone in my room and the hotel moved me twice in an effort to fix the problem, I ended up in an executive suite which was huge and extremely comfortable. I find that if you do have a problem the management are quick to sort it out and are very efficient and professional.

Edinburgh Park station is a two minute walk with fourt trains an hour into Edinburgh and the trip takes 12 minutes. There's plenty of free parking as well but not much around the hotel other than a large Tesco's.

Overall a good hotel that is recommended.

Under 10 minutes from the airport and on the motorway network this modern 3 star hotel is a great place to stay for business on the West of Edinburgh, avoiding horrendous traffic jams inside the by-pass.

Secure free parking is a bonus. ask for a room on the front of the hotel if you like your windows open at night. railway line at the back a slight irritation.

Light, friendly and comfortable, with really good service and remarkably good food. Not particularly cheap in the restaurant and nowhere else nearby to eat but the meal was superd so good value and they serve till 11pm as well.

Pool and gym not used this trip but looked good.

Lots of hotels are nearer the main attractions so not so good if you are just sight seeing but a great choice for business.

We stayed overnight after arriving from Abu Dhabi (9 hour of flying time with a two hour layover). Since we were traveling with our two year old daughter we decided to stay the night and drive out to Loch Lomond the next morning.

The hotel is a great value (booked on Expedia) for a stopover but I would not stay here to visit Edinburgh as the tourist attractions are a taxi ride from the hotel. You would be better off staying in the Old Town or New Town and walking.

Food was excellent and the rooms were nice. Swimming pool was a good size but the water was fairly cold. Sauna was a nice luxury.

The service at the hotel was not great. There was no bellman to help with our luggage (we had 4 pieces of luggage and two duffle bags). As there were only two individuals at the front desk they offered to give me a trolley to take our bags up. We had requested a late checkout (1 hour) as our car seat was being delivered from the airport that morning. The front desk called at 12:30 asking if we planned on checking out as the lady did not speak with her colleague who was aware of the late checkout. Not sure why there isn't a system for this.

There is a Tesco, Mother Care, ELC, and B&O across the street which may be handy to some.

The hotel was also difficult to find as it is not on the Garmin 2010 European Maps nor was it on the GPS maps on the Jaguar X-Type rental car.
