I had a great weekend stay at the guest house. The rooms are clean, large and very comfortable with great en-suite facilities. The breakfast is very good with a large selection of food and fresh juices to choose from. The owners Ted and Dot are very welcoming and giving every guest a special treatment. Though located somewhat distant from the city center the guest house is located on the main route to main city attraction with a bus stops at the house entrance. Ten minutes of bus driving (1.10 GPB per one use or 2.50 GPB a day) and you will arrive to the Royal Mile. Great value for money

On departing any accommodation, usually your first thoughts are, "would I stay there again?" In my case the answer is most definitely a resounding "Yes". From Ted's initial welcome, his enthusiastic tour of facilities and the immaculate presentation of the rooms, showed that a great deal of thought and effort had been expended by the owners in establishing this business. Despite having an almost "show-home" appearance, the whole ambience is that of comfort. A generous breakfast, well imparted local knowledge and an incredible eagerness to help, led to my stay being nothing short of outstanding. The city is merely a 15 minute bus ride from a stop directly outside and ample car parking space allows you to forget about driving.

In a land were everything beautiful is old, here is something beautiful that is new. Aaron Lodge is only 1.5 yrs old as of 6/08 and everything is bright and sparkling. Ist rate showers and plumbing are a delight. While single rooms are compact, Ted/owner and designer has been thoughtful in placement of lights, switches, TV etc so you can maximize space and relaxation. Aaron is a 10minute bus ride from the Royal Mile and just a touch more from the train station. Breakfast is premiere and served with joy and abundance. Wifi is on all the time with lounge and self help bar. Ted is welcoming and helpful in every way. . . the guy offered me a pair of his pant so I could go golfing! King Arthur will return and when he does he will stay here for not too many quid! Wonderful and clean.

My friend and I have just returned from a fabulous short break in Edinburgh. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, but our stay, with Ted and Dot at the Aaron Lodge, made it extra special. The hotel is a very short journey from the centre of the city, connected by the excellent and regular bus service and it would be impossible to fault any aspect of the accommodation and facilities on offer.

I would not hesitate to thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Edinburgh, whether it be for pleasure or business and will certainly be passing this information on to friends and family.
