After researching the net and reading reviews my friend and I chose this guesthouse for our 2-day trip in Edinburgh in May'08. We had a great experience - the location is excellent, close to the city centre yet quiet; room was quite spacious (compared to other places we stayed at in Scotland), bathroom – clean and sufficient, hot water at all times; owners very friendly. In summary, everything was as expected and we received excellent service for a very economical price - I would definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic place to stay ! We stayed at Windsor House (the sister guesthouse) and it was great. Lovely big room, comfortable beds and a little ensuite with a really good shower. Room was clean and airey. The welcome was very friendly with help booking taxis and even the loan of an iron ! A brilliant location, close to the centre but in a lovely quiet street. We would definately stay again !

For somewhere to stay in Edinburgh that is reasonably priced and in a good position this is perfect. The three of us had an enormous room in a lovely Georgian house just 5 minutes walk from Waverley Station. Very helpful owners. No meals but there are plenty of places within walking distance. Nice quiet street so very peaceful. I would definitely stay here again.

I booked this without checking for reviews & was worried it could be a hole as it was the cheapest place i could find centrally for what i was looking for... but it was fantastic - clean, basic double room with en suite shower - very nice walk in shower. Tv wasn't tuned but wasn't in Edinburgh to watch TV. No breakfast included - but we didn't want it! Loved the anonymity - Great system there where could let selves in with a code - didn't have to faff with the booking once there - owners were great at emailing information & just had to put deposit through a letterbox when arrived! Would definately go back if in edinburgh again.
