My wife, daughter and I stayed in a family room for one night last week. We arrived early and were advised the room wasn't ready yet so we parked in the large, free car park and went shopping for the day in Edinburgh. We returned at 4.30pm and were given room 104 which was huge and had a double and two proper single beds, not pull outs. The room was clean, warm, quiet and very comfortable and after a nap we spent the evening in the friendly, cosy bar. The staff and locals were friendly and after a few drinks we ordered some snacks rather than an evening meal in the popular carvery restaurant. We slept very well and enjoyed the ample continental breakfast that was served the next morning. This was the 4th time we have stayed here and would definitely stay again when we next visit Edinburgh.
It is a comfortable, relaxed, budget hotel in a great location (10 mins on the bus to Princes St.) with friendly helpful staff.
Highly recommended.
