Everytime i stay, i never want to leave its so homely. Edna and Fillipo do a funtastic job - Lolvey breakfasts, very clean rooms and a central loacation. What more could you want???

Although the Hotel is a little difficult to reach just now because of the tramworks, the welcome and service is well worth a moment's hassle. Edna and Filippo cannot be faulted for their care and attention....and banter!
My colleague and I consider them friends and not just our 'hosts' for the duration. The tramworks do not disturb the guests unduly, there is plenty of off-road parking, and breakfast at the 'family table' helps all guests to share an excellent start to the day. Freshly caught haggis is always on the menu too!
We thoroughly recommend Pillars to any who are seeking the best of Scottish - and Italian - welcomes, truly comfortable accommodation and an overall relaxing atmosphere.
If we are ever back in Edinburgh - we will not need to worry where we shall stay.

I travelled to Edinburgh on Church business and was very satisfied with the comfort and amenities of the building. It is well situated with good transport links to the city centre. The food was good and I liked the large table and the conversation with other guests at breakfast. There were a few who had returned after previous visits which speaks for itself. The proprietors, Edna and Forbes, were very helpful with information and when I return Pillars House will be my first call for somewhere to stay.

i would recommend this place 1million per cent fantastic staff Edna/Fillipo. i booked a party for 14 guys and this is the forth time ive stayed here at Pillars beautiful breakfast room very clean/ tidy well looked after what more could u ask for this place abs' great place u get treated like if ur their own we'll defo be going back.
