Location:-
We stayed here in June as were going to see a show at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre and I had heard this hotel was closeby.
Closeby is an understatement as it's almost opposite so an ideal hotel if you're are going to the Festival Theatre plus only a short walk to the Royal Mile and Princes Street etc.
The hotel is up a small street which means it's away from the noise of the main drag which means a good night's sleep!
There's a good kebab shop just around the corner if you fancy a small snack on your way back to the hotel!
Hotel itself:-
We got a standard room which we got for £100 (£122 if booked direct with the hotel). The room had a view down to the street which was fun
as we could see traffic wardens putting parking fines on people's
cars as they had not paid for parking - oops!
The hotel itself does have a carpark hover it's is very small and kinda in the basement of the hotel so a bit dark and dodgy looking! A
lot of the spaces were being used for storage of items therefore
there were only 6 available so get there early if you can!
The rooms were great and spotless - very nice and modern inside. We had a nice flatscreen telly, nice comfy bed and all mod cons e.g. iron, tea facilities etc.
The bathroom was gorgeous - I now want a frosted glass door for my bathroom as I've decided we need to get the whole bathroom replaced now!
Breakfast:-
I had read that breakfast time could be busy so we went down for 9am and got seated no problem. The hotel does deliver a continental breakfast to your room at no extra charge hoever we wanted the full fry-up so had to go downstairs.
Breakfast was good as plenty of stuff available and no queuing so we made the most of it!
Overall opinion:-
I'd definitely stay here again as spotless hotel and in a good location with no noise outside.
