Using the recommendations on trip advisor, we chose this hotel and were definately not disappointed. The location was great, less that 10 minute walk to the Royal Mile, slightly up hill on the way home but nothing to bad. Check in was easy and staff helpful. We had a room at the front of the hotel which was lovely and quiet. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom had a nice bath, although the glass door is not the best - it didnt really matter. We did however ring reception as the water in the bath was a brownish colour, the area was having its water mains worked on. The hotel provided us with extra bottles of water for cleaning teeth etc.

We did not try the breakfast as there were plenty of places to eat locally. I would definately recommend the hotel for a short break to Edinburgh.

I have just returned after a weekend break in the Ten Hill Place Hotel, Edinburgh. Only one word can sum up this hotel "excellent". It is clean, warm, pleasant and friendly staff and the food is good too. I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel. As the previous reviewer stated, it is a "hidden gem". I booked my stay in the Ten Hill Place Hotel based on reviews I had read on Trip Advisor. It is reasonably priced for such a good hotel in its location. It is about a 15 minute walk from Princes Street, but that never bothered us as there was so much sights to take in on the way to and from the main shopping street. There are plenty of excellent restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance situated in and around the Royal Mile. Our stay here in the Ten Hill Place hotel was perfect! And I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff and all concerned with this hotel!! A job well done!!! We'll be back for sure!

I had never been to Edinburgh before and this hotel made a great base for my stay. The hotel room was very clean and there was heating & air conditioning which you could turn up and down as you pleased - great for the cold scottish winter. It's very close the the Royal Mile and there are many eateries nearby. We bearly saw any staff while we were there, however they were always at reception if you needed them and any dealings we did have were pleasant. The rooms can be cleaned every day and you get some tea and coffee in the room too which is nice after a journey.

This is a gem. Very warm and friendly welcome from all the staff.

The hotel is modern and stylish with very comfortable rooms. And in a very quiet location, front rooms are best!
Great choice at breakfast.
Five minute walk from Royal Mile and a brisk 15 minutes from Princess St.
Highly recommended and reasonably priced.
