Just returned from a weekend stay at this hotel with 7 other colleagues.Took a taxi from the rail station ( £5 ) but we were able to walk to all the central sights.
The four twin rooms which were 'unzipped ' doubles were extremely comfortable with great furnishings, spotless bathrooms with very powerful showers & a flat screen tv.
Staff were courteous & most helpful.
Breakfast was hearty & set us up for our busy days.We were so impressed that 3 of us are going to rebook for pre xmas breaks. A great quality, central, well priced hotel !

stayed at the ten hill place hotel for two nights to attend a family wedding and found it the perfect base for our weekend in edinburgh!
on arrival we were informed we had a free upgrade to a superior room so first impressions were good! we always found the staff very helpful and friendly.
the room was lovely, (rm 316), not a nice view but what do you expect in a city! the bed was HUGE and comfy, the room was a good size, clean and modern. My only bugbear would have to be the frosted see through bathroom door....
the walk to the royal mile was honestly only 5 mins, and you are central to everything!
would love to go back to edinburgh and will stay here again!

  • Liked — the comfort of the room
  • Disliked — the frosted bathroom door!

We have just returned from a 3 night weekend break at Ten Hill Place and loved every minute of it.
The hotel is nicely situated just off one of the main roads into Edinburgh. It is approx 10 mins steady walk to the Royal Mile and a further 5 minutes to Princes Street. Near enough to be handy but far enough away from all the hustle. The hotel is situated on a quiet side street with only a small amount of traffic passing.
We arrived before check in time but were able to fill in the relevant paperwork and leave our luggage.
Our room was on the 2nd floor with a view over the carpark (but who spends their holiday in their room looking out of the window?). The room was a good size and beautifully decorated and furnished. We had tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and a lovely ensuite with a bath and a shower over it with complimentary toiletries.
We slept very soundly (due to the thick curtains keeping the room very dark).
The dining area (which is also the bar area) is fairly small and i had read previous reviews that there were queues but we didn't have to wait once.
Breakfast was the usual cooked foods with cereals, juice, cold meats, fruit also...a good selection.
All in all i would recommend this hotel to people who want a good quality hotel at a reasonable price in a quiet but central location....excellent.

  • Liked — the location....spot on!!
  • Disliked — can't think of anything

We really loved this hotel!
First of all, all the photos taken of this hotel were correct. The hotel looked just liked in the photos!

The room was clean and comfortable. Just big enouhg to accommodate two persons. The bed was lovely and bathroom with bathtub was fantastic. The room (219) was situated in the side-street, maybe a little noise from the cars driven by and people talking loudly early in the morning when coming from the nightclubs, but it didn´t bother us. :)

The breafast was good, but I think it was a little bit greasy...I missed something fresh, like tomatoes (not cooked one), lettuce, cucumber etc. Excellent option was also to order breakfast into the room without extra costs!

The staff was helpful and polite. I also asked some questions via e-mail a couple of weeks before our stay and they answered quickly and politely.

And I always have a doubt about the distances written in these reviews, but actually in this case, hotel really has 5-7 minutes walk to the Royal mile!

We booked this room from the hotels website. By accident they had a excellent "short break offer" for two people, which included a doubleroom, a bottle of champagne and breakfast. We paid only 257£ for three nights!

I truly can recommend this hotel!

  • Liked — A fresh style.
  • Disliked — The staff was a little bit quiet...
