We recently stayed at Ten Hill Place Hotel the last week in August. While the location was pretty good and the rooms clean and modern, the staff needed serious attitude adjustments. We arrived at the hotel before the standard check-in time. Before I could even finish my sentence to the front desk employee, he interrupted me to tell me I couldn't check-in. As that had not been my question, I then asked to store our luggage. He said yes, but did not offer to help carry any bags. That evening, when we finally did get to check-in, the new desk assistant proceeded to reprimand me for booking two rooms. When I tried to explain that I booked the second rooms for a couple traveling with us, we then discovered that the hotel had double-booked our friends. They then said that all credit cards had been charged and there was nothing we could do-even though the charges were not supposed to occur until after check-out. Our friends would have to pay for a second room they would not be staying in. When our friends asked for some type of assistance, the only thing the employee offered was to call the booking agent. Once they called the booking agent, they discovered that the charges came through the hotel. After all of the time taken trying to find this out, they had surpassed the timeframe for getting a full refund. They eventually did get a partial refund, but with much effort and frustration. On top of that, when booking, our rooms were supposed to include breakfast, but we were charged an extra. Also, in-room internet services were supposed to be provided, but we couldn't get our laptop to connect. When we called the front desk, they gave us a simple instruction sheet that didn't help then at the bottom, informed us we would have to call a hotline number and "Good luck.". Needless to say, we never did get connected.
Overall, the hotel rooms were very well kept and clean, but the staff needs better instructions on customer service.
