Myself, my husband and our 12yr old daughter enjoyed the warm hospitality of this lovely B&B for one night.
The directions were exact and easy to follow, so finding the place was no problem. Parking was provided and the bus-stop to take you into Edinburgh was literally, right out front.
We booked the 'large family room with ensuite' and were not disappointed! It was spacious, warm and VERY clean. The decor was lovely, giving it a very homely, yet tasteful feel. The ensuite, although small, was exceptionally clean and more than adequate.
We found our hosts to be friendly and welcoming.
All in all, it added to a very pleasant experience for our first visit to Edinburgh and we would definitely stay here upon our return.

We stayed here in Dec 07 and found the guest house very clean and spacious, with both Brian and Ann very friendly. The location is great with a bus stop right outside the house that takes you directly to Princes Street -perfect for all the sights and shopping. The buses are on time and only £1.00 per trip or £2.50 for as many trips in one day that you want to make. I loved the whole weekend, just the weather spoilt it a bit with the rain. I can recommend good places to eat: Tass is a good pub on the Royal Mile with excellent food and a very scottish atmostphere (live folk music on a Friday night) also Montieth's a very different place to eat, once again great food and atmostphere. We had lunch in the Scottish Tourist Board centre on Princes street and then the next day in a place called Always Sunday. both very nice. I would definitly stay at the guest house again......

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at this guest house. The owners were really, really nice. They were friendly and helpful. Just ask them anything- they know the places to go and the places to avoid! The rooms were spotless, breakfast was tasty and the bed was comfy. Location a bit out of the way, but bus was very frequent and takes you right to the centre of town.

Management response from PoloB, owner.
(Management representative)
Mar 12, 2008
I am so glad that you were pleased with your stay. Unfortunately, due to the increase in allergies we have decided not to take dogs in our guest house. This is due to a survey carried out by us asking guests how they felt. We have to put our guests first at all times. We do hope to see you again at some time without your lovely little dog ( very well-behaved). Anne. God bless.
