Having just returned from a weekend in Tigerlily , I felt compelled to write this reveiw, as very rarely have I enjoyed a hotel more.
From arrival, where we were met by some extremely efficient and friendly receptionists, to the amazing attention to detail, we found Tigerlily to be truly exceptional.
We stayed in a double room on the third floor overlooking the Firth of Forth, and were lucky enough to have amazingly clear days to make the most of the panorama. The rooms themselves are very comfortable, and it felt very home from home, it was no hardship to kick back in one of the comfy chairs with a hendricks and tonic- (fresh lime in the mini bar) and peruse the compimentary papers. We loved the posh toileteries, and were delighted at the level of knowledge offered by staff (it was actually one of the managers) about what to do locally. We walked 20 minutes down the hill to the botanic gardens, and then wondered along to the gallery of Modern art.
both have marvelous cafes!!
While Tigerlily is certainly lively in the evenings, the noise downstairs did not disrupt us one bit, as we enjoyed our opulent surroundings.
As sighly older travellers we woried that we might be a bit passed it for Tigerlily, but they have the balance just right. There seems to be somthing for every one. Absolutely reccomended.
