Friendly and very knowledgeable hosts, with the room being bright and clean. Generous breakfast brought to your room every morning. Lots to see and do in edinburgh, so stay at this b&b to go everywhere by walk, to the royal mile, castle and shopping and entertainment.

We stayed in Lauriston Park B&B when in Edinburgh for a graduation. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The continental breakfasts were fantastic and the owners were friendly and exceptionally helpful. The only disadvantage is that there is no car parking space. I only wish we had discovered this gem earlier in our son's university days!

This B&B is great. It's family run, close to the centre of town and really affordable.

The location is great as it is close enough to walk to all the important attractions but is still on a peaceful street. It's located beside the meadows which is lovely spot to sit on a sunny day, although it can get busy.

The rooms are lovely and bright. Everything is immaculate, and for a change in a Scottish B&B you get a continental breakfast with fresh fruit and bakery.

I would highly recommend this place for a lovely stay in Edinburgh. One of it's best charms is the quiet so great for a family or a business stay but not so much if you want to be up partying all night.

Room Tip: Since this is a B&B there is no gym/pool facilities so do ignore the rating for these.

My stay at Lauriston Park B&B was exceptional! The family who run it were lovely and incredibly welcoming throughout our entire stay. The rooms were wonderful and spacious, and kept spotlessly clean. The location is very central, perfect for everything we wanted to do whilst being in Edinburgh, but was still quiet and peaceful. The breakfast tray was a complete treat, overflowing with delicious fresh croissants, fruit and coffee - the perfect way to start the day! They also have a beautiful, fluffy bunny called George, who always loved a bit of attention! I couldn't have asked for anything more out of my stay - except for maybe better weather!

This is a wonderful inn, close to the city center, operated by owners who respect your privacy but are very warm and helpful with your questions. We looked forward to the deluxe continental breakfast every day, especially the fresh bowl of fruits. The room was very quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. Everything was well kept and clean, with a small but modern and functional bathroom. My tiny gripe was that the water pressure of the shower was not so strong. My pre-travel research on Trip Advisor showed that many of the highly rated affordable B&Bs were located away from the center of Edinburgh, and this place seemed to be the closest among them to the castle and the city center. Indeed, it is less than 10 minutes to the Grass Market, and as you approach you are walking with a breathtaking view of the castle, so it felt like 5! I can highly recommend this B&B as an extremely well located and relaxing inn. It is a mystery to me why it is not placed much higher on the TripAdvisor index.

Lovely place in a super convenient location. My 8 year old son and I had no problem walking to the Castle and finding places to eat nearby. My favorite part by far was the yummy breakfast. You might think that surprising, given Lauriston provides a continental rather than full scottish breakfast. But this was the most perfect continental breakfast ever! Beautiful flaky chocolate croissant, moist breakfast rolls, lots of varied fruits, yogurts, rich dark coffee. I'm a real foodie, and here I am one week after my stay still missing that breakfast!

ps. the internet worked well, unlike many other B&B's I stayed in.

Lauriston Park B&B was on a quiet street between the Meadows (through the alleyway by the church) and Lauriston. The rooms were clean and the cold breakfasts were excellent, including fruit, fresh baked breads, cereals, cheeses, tea, coffee, and yogurt. The family that runs the business were very friendly and cooperative. Within walking distance of the Royal Mile.
