First time we'd travelled with our little one (aged 17 months) and stayed for a long weekend in the Hunter apartment. It was really well located, the views were fabulous, the rooms were well equipped and furnished and the owner, Brian was very helpful and friendly. Not sure when we'll be next in Edinburgh but I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

We stayed in The Hunter for 6 nights & felt at home the moment we arrived. The apartment is just so clean & bright with natural light. Brian welcomed us & there was a welcome basket with wine, marmalade, shortbread, chocolate, juice, coffee cream & croissants. He explained the ins & outs of the apartment. We never did grasp the operation of washer/dryer. He called us cabs for us as we did not have a phone with us. Apartment was quiet...except for noise of cars on cobble in the morning. The locations was great. Walked down to restaurants & supermarket at bottom of hill in Stockbridge. About 20 minute walk to Princes Street. You do need to be able to climb stairs after a day of touring......51 steps to The Hunter! I doubt you will find a better place in the whole of Edinburgh for the price.

Room Tip: Back bedroom is nice & quiet at night. Not a good choice if climbing stairs is a challenge for...

We stayed at the Peploe for a week and cannot use enough superlatives to describe how comfortable we were in this rental accommodation. Spacious, bright, spotlessly clean, quiet and with a lovely view over the city (well worth the climb up the stairs), it had a bus stop at the door and was within walking distance to downtown. The owner lives on-site and was on hand to welcome us and help us get oriented. Lovely welcome basket was a much-appreciated touch as was the binder prepared to provide additional information on the flat and the city. We could not ask for better. Thanks very much, Brian, your flat added much to our enjoyment of Edinburgh.

Agree with everything others have said about these apartments. We stayed at the Peploe Apartment for two weeks. It was a great experience. Everything was comfortable and clean and made for a very relaxing time. Brian was very helpful in providing information for getting situated in Edinburgh. Because the apartments are in a great location it made it easy to explore the city. Walked most places or took the bus. The view from the apartment is just wonderful. Will definitely recommend to friends and hope to be back again.

Stayed in the Hunter apartment for two nights.

Comfortable, clean, well outfitted and cleverly furnished and within pleasant and easy walking distance of Princes Street.

It is hard to find a fault, except to say that vehicle noise on the cobbles of Learmonth Terrace may annoy some.

Aside from that one quibble this is an excellent location to use as a base for Edinburgh.

We stayed at the Peploe apartment on the top floor. It's true what other reviewers say, it is much larger than the photos give it credit for. Everything was spotless, comfortable and beautifully kept. We only wish we had a longer stay to have had time to enjoy and relax in the apartment and look out at the view. Brian was welcoming and kindly provided us with croissants, milk, juice and shortbread. Tea and coffee were also provided. All mod cons available for longer stays and self catering. We walked into the City easily enough (took about 15 minutes with a 7 year old) or there is a bus stop outside the apartment. The only slight down side is road noise from the cobbled steets. It's not intrusive but noticeable in the bedroom, saying that we got used to it and slept fine. We thought it was excellent value for high season. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

We stayed in the Hunter apartment during the festival, and it was perfect for our needs. Immaculate, clean and comfortable. It is a short walk to the town centre and we liked being away from the madness of the centre - it was a very quick walk/taxi ride/rickshaw ride home each evening. Thanks for the unexpected welcome basket of croissants, shortbread and milk - a lovely welcome after our flight.

Would definitely book here again.
