My girlfriend and I stayed here on our Spring Break in March and can't wait to go back. Our trip included visits to London, Edinburgh, and we were in Dublin for St. Patrick's Day. All of that aside, we both agreed that the highlight of the trip was staying with Angela at the Abercorn Guest House. We loved Edinburgh and the convenience of the Abercorn. The wonderful B&B was located about 30seconds from the bus into the city centre and the bus was incredibly easy to use.
When we arrived, Angela cordially greeted us and gave us the choice of rooms, all of which were spectacular (and a huge step up from the hotel we stayed at in London which was more expensive as well). She then interrupted her meeting to show us a map and give us her recommendations on where to go in the city and how to get there. Breakfast was well planned and delicious. Guests chose when they wanted to eat so they could eat in privacy if they so wished which was kind of treat since it allowed my girlfriend and I to talk one on one with Angela and learn about her family and tell her about ours.
Angela's service was spectacular and no matter how busy, she would stop and take the time to show my girlfriend and I places on the map or give us directions on how to get where. We definitely plan on a repeat trip in the near future and have been talking about going back since we left. The great breakfast, combined with location, price, and the superb quality of service makes the Abercorn one of the best places I have ever stayed both in Europe and in the U.S.
