We stayed two nights in this beautiful house, very well run by Angela and her family. We were greeted with a pot of tea on arrival, and everything was done to ensure we were comfortable. We had a lovely large ground floor room, with ensuite shower, and big windows overlooking the lawns and trees of the walled garden. Breakfast was excellent with a large choice and generous portions. Parking was easy and free, and we took the very convenient bus into the city centre. Restaurants and the sea were 5 minutes walk away. We would stay here again for sure.

A pleasant walled garden welcomes you as you enter Abercorn. An elegant guest house with plush, comfortable rooms and looked after by an outstanding hostess and staff. Excellent scottish breakfasts or alternatives to suit all dietry needs are served each day. Local shops are close by just across the road, together with a lovely sandy beach/promenade within an easy five minute stroll. Access to Edinburgh city centre is easily reached within 20 minutes by a good value and very frequent bus service. Best bus service in the world according to the locals. Abercorn, a hidden gem is highly recommended.

We stayed in May 2009 for 5 nights on our honeymoon. The room we stayed in had been refurbished to an excellent standard. For extra comfort we had a large sofa in the room to watch TV or just relax. The pillows on the bed were so comfy I have since been out and bought some. The little personal touches were lovely. The breakfasts were first class, lots of food and plenty of choice. Candles lit in the hall every evening made a pleasant end to perfect days.
Angela and her family love their pets as we do, and to see Lily her new Cavalier dog reminded us of our dog we had left at home. She is lovely.

Had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights while my wife Jacquelyne was competing in the Edinburgh Marathon in May. What a gem of a place to stay, we loved it so much we intend to return. Owner Angela and her family were lovely hosts and helped make our stay even nicer.

We concluded our two weeks in Europe with three days in Edinburgh. We could not have chosen a better B&B than Abercorn Guest House. The home was beautifully maintained with spacious guest rooms. Angela and her father were the perfect hosts. From the time I contacted Angela about the possibility of staying at Abercorn, she worked to make our stay a successful and memorable event. We will always have wonderful memories of Scotland and Edinburgh! Rick and Jean, Glen Rose, Texas
