“Wow, exceeded all expectations!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Aaronglen was immaculate, contemporary and incredibly welcoming. Plenty space to park the car...which was not required as there is an excellent bus service to town.
The breakfast served was fresh, delicious and served with a friendly smile. In fact the jewel of this wonderful establishment is the owner herself, Carolyn.
She answered our many questions with patience and enthusiasm. In fact, after leaving we received a call from Carolyn informing us that my phone charger I had left behind, was now in the post!!! Unbelievable.
We will definitely be back.

We arrived late in the evening but that was no problem for Carolyn and Les. We were left the keys and went straight to our room which was spotless and modern.

In the morning we went down for a Scottish breakfast - one of the highlights of the weekend for me as the breakfast was delicious! Carolyn served our breakfast to us and was really pleasant to talk to. She suggested a few sights nearby to walk to as we wanted to do a bit of hill walking and see the Roselyn Chapel - she also gave us a small history lesson about one of the rivers nearby - very interesting!

Aaron Glen is a lovely place run by lovely people, we will definitely go there again on our next trip to Scotland.

Sean and Sarah.

Nice room on the first floor.Great breakfast with a lot of choice. Enough parking place at the B&B. Amazing bar with really nice prices to taste all whiskies.....Carolyn is really wonderful. She´s interested in learning german, but it have to be the difficult words (schwäbisch). It was funny and familiar. The bus stop is near and you can drive to Edinburgh in ca. 35 minutes without stress and search for a parking place.

We booked our room through laterooms.com on the same day while we were on the road. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The place was nice, quite and clean. There is a little bar where you can have drinks, the dining room looked nice (we did not have breakfast there as it is an extra £10 pp). The whole place was nicely decorated. Our room was big and spacious. They have free good wi-fi. The toilet and shower room was really nice. Parking is available on site. It is very near ASDA and a short drive to the city centre. The only criticism we have is that the bed was too soft for us (which is a personal taste and may not be the case to other people) and the sheets smell a bit funny, although clean.

We stayed in a number of B & B's on our trip and this is right up there with the best. The hosts are fantastic, even allowing us to do 2 loads of washing for free and hanging one of them out so that we could go into town. Very well presented facility with the best breakfast we encountered in 8 weeks - and we had some good ones! The hosts have a genuine interest in their guests and their attitude is at the heart of their success. They clearly take pride in what they do and this is reflected in both the overall standard and the little touches that distinguish this from the rest. We can't recommend this highly enough.

Stayed here for 3 nights in july and could not believe the quality of everything from the rooms to the fantastic breakfast choice!
Carolyn and her staff were the best i have encountered ( and we travel everywhere all the time!).
This wee treasure is ideally situated for anyone who wants to explore east lothian being close to edinburgh city centre ( bus stop mins from place), roslynn chapel 20mins away and north berwick only a short drive.
Ill b back again thats for sure, cant wait to have my eggs benedict again !

We stayed just one night but there is really nothing to complain. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, everything superclean, electric kettle with complimentary coffee, teabags, chocolate, biscuits and more. Everything looks new or refurbished. Owner was really nice and open to any questions and chat. Perfect breakfast with choice of Scottish one, Egg Benedict etc... Ok – here you go with small complaint, there was poor or almost no wi-fi and issue with TV signal. It is not really Edinburgh but we use it as a perfect base for Rosslyn Chapel.
