“Loved it here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2007

This is definately a good choice. It is a large Georgian House with massive rooms and my Bathroom was as big as my living room in london. The breakfast is amazing and you can order anything you like! We did not have enough room for lunch on all 3 days we stayed here. I saw 2 rooms, the double room i was in and a twin room my sister was in and both were perfectly appointed-clean and warm and lovely views, close to the city. The owner is helpful and quite a character. Great location. I will return.

Stayed one night at Inchgrove House on business, and was very impressed. Two minutes walk from Princes street, and the heart of Edinburgh, so easy to get to the Castle, the station, etc. The airport bus goes along Princes St., so easy to and from the airport too. There's no sign on the door, so you have to remember the house number!

The guest house is a wonderful old house, with massive ceilings and is decorated immaculately. A large staircase leads you up to the guest rooms. The room I had was large and plush, with a comfortable bed, enormous ancient wardrobe, chairs, large window with a good view over the street, big bathroom. Quiet at night. Very friendly staff.

And the breakfast - WOW! Everything you could want and more. Cereal, toast, fruit, juices, yoghurts, coffee, tea, and then whatever you want freshly cooked. The full scottish didn't all fit on one plate.

All in all, lovely. Just a pity I was staying on business for one night only........

I found this guest house on the internet, i contacted it direct and responses were efficient and friendly. Some colleagues and i stayed here for a business trip earlier this month.

The location was great, literally a minutes walk from Princes Street although the walk was up hill so from the guest house you could see the street, it's just a straight walk.

The rooms were lovely, massive and tastefully decorated. All spottlessly clean. The owner's were so friendly and helpful, full of knowledge of the area. One thing i can't forget to mention is the breakfast, the choice available was extensive and was always very nice.

I would recommend this guesthouse again and the area, in fact i've already re-booked to go back for a personal trip, no more work!
