This was our first trip away for some time as a couple, leaving our 18month old daugther with grandparents. We had booked tickets to see Bon Jovi who were playing in the near by Murrayfield Stadium. From booking our tickets and hotel in October 2010 to arriving in Edinburgh in June 2011 the communication between ourselves and Iain and Dot was first class. Having never visited Edinburgh before we were clueless as to what to expect once we got off the train as far as transport was concerned. Iain had advised us on where to go and what bus to get and to look out for the zoo as it's directly opposite the B&B. When we arrived at the B&B we were greated with a friendly welcome and shown to our room (even though we had actually arrived earlier than what we had expected to) and chatted to Iain about the local area, where to go for food and how to get to Murrayfield from the B&B. We told Iain we didn't expect to be returning to our room 'til late that night, once the concert was finished, we were told this wasn't a problem, just let ourselves in when we got back. The next morning breakfast was excellent, the service was great, we were asked several times if there was anything else we needed. We checked out at 10am and promised we would be back in the future with our daughter to take her to the zoo.
This is a fantastic B&B and would recommend anyone to stay there at least once.
