This 3 starred Guest House has 6 rooms and charges £27.50 per night. For that you get a basic but clean room with a small en suite shower room, TV and tea making facilities. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen and duvets. The central heating was available if needed. Full English breakfast was served in a light and airy breakfast room and cooked to order so it was hot and tasty; you make your own toast.
The city centre is reached by bus, literally round the corner; the Majestic tourist bus stops right outside the gate and a taxi was about £6.
The proprietor was friendly and extremely helpful.
The Garfield is great value for money.

Having booked this B&B via laterooms.com due to the great price, we didnt expect too much as we got this at a bargain price.

However we could not have been more incorrect!

Only a mile from the centre of Edinburgh the Garfield is situated facing Leith football/sports field and beyond this is the Edinburgh Castle,s o views were good on the eye.

We were able to park right outside without any prior arrangement and we were meeted and greeted by 'Martin' a very plesant first impression, very well kept and clean guest house.

We were taken to our room, which had an addition of a brand new en-suit, welcome tea&coffee tray and all extremely clean

TV's were also situaed in the rooms.

Breakfast was delicious and plentyful, a full english and choices of continental pastries and cereals were also available.

We taxied into the centre of Edinburgh which cost us £4.50 - not far at all, and quite easy to navigate if you wished to walk.

All in all a lovely guest house I would highly recommend.
