Excellent place to stay. Ten minute walk from the city. Spotlessly clean. Bedroom cosy and compact. Nice toiletries etc in the bathroom. Very friendly. Lovely breakfast, always nice and hot. Would stay again without hesitation.

We spent a windy but very enjoyable weekend in Edinburgh, staying for two nights at the Lauderville.
Our room was clean, with very comfortable four poster bed and excellent shower facilities. A bottle of bubbly was provided upon request. Breakfasts consisted of either a self-service buffet or full house breakfast. Nice lounge, with good selection of books and use of internet.
Our host - Simon - was friendly and welcoming, providing us with useful information about the capital.
We recommend the "Old Inn" pub for a drink - just a few minutes walk from the guest house.
Access to the town centre is best by bus (approximately 10 minutes), as there is a bus stop just along the road. A day ticket (£2.30 each) provides unlimited travel on local buses, otherwise it is only £1 for each journey.
Highlights of our weekend include Edinbugh Castle (allow at least 3 hours to see everything) and The Royal Yacht Britannia at nearby Leith.
We recommend Lauderville Guest House and would definately stay here again.
This was a lovely and spotlessly clean B&B with fab breakfast and hosts. The little living area with games, books and fast internet connection is a really nice touch.
However, I booked this B&B on the strength that it was central and 'minutes from the attractions' as we had a limited amount of time in Edinburgh. It was, in fact, a 10 minute journey by taxi or bus to the centre, we did walk into the centre as it was a lovely sunny day but this was a good 40 minute stroll. I would stay here again but this time I'd know the distance and make allowances for it.
This was our second stay here and it was even better than the first. Yvonne and Brian will make you feel really welcome. The rooms are on the small side, but furnished beautifully and are really all you need for a few days in Edinburgh. The breakfast is scrumptious and the place is a short bus ride from the centre and all the attractions.
Plenty of lovely places to eat and the people of Edinburgh are so so friendly.
Book it you won't regret it!!!!
