We stayed at Blacket Garden Flat for four nights in Edinburgh and had a wonderful experience. The garden was charming and beautifully kept. Jas and isobel were warm and friendly. As there was only one other room in the bed and breakfast, we really did feel as if we were being welcomed into somebody's home. The room was very spacious and decorated with furniture, art, and charming trinkets that looked as if they had been collected from several different places and over many years. Snacks and drinks were provided, in the room, and there were several DVD's and numerous CD's to enjoy while we were relaxing after long days of sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious and there was a nice menu of main courses to choose from, each coming with fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, coffee or tea, and a cereal bar. We also enjoyed chatting with Jas and Isobel and the other guests every morning. Jas would greet us by saying "Good morning, America!" and Isobel would give us helpful advice on transportation and places to visit. We will definitely stay at Blacket Garden next time we travel to Edinburgh!

If you want to stay in Edinburgh - Blacket Garden Flat is the perfect spot. It is close enough to the city center to make transportation a breeze and yet located in a cozy and charming garden location. The rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely spacious!!! As for the kids, there are lots of free dvds to watch as well as televisions with plenty of stations.

The room was big, lovely and really comfortable. Choice and quality for breakfast.

Isobel and Jas (or Jimmy) welcome you with a real kindness and simplicity. They do all they can to make you feel good.

Very comfortable and tasteful - loved the bathrobes, fruit and sweets. Beautiful part of Edinburgh and convenient for the centre. We enjoyed meeting the other visitors over breakfast.

We stayed at Blacket Garden Flat for 2 nights during our visit to the charming city of Edinburgh. This is our first B&B experience but certainly won't be our last. The hospitality that Isobel and Jimmy provided was awesome. Isobel and Jimmy are super friendly, making us feel so welcome. The location is ideal, with a short bus ride to the old town. There are like 6 or 7 buses that had a stop right around the block that will bring us into the old town. Jimmy arranged a parking space for our car, so that we can utilize the bus to explore the city. Isobel was so attentive, every morning we were greeted with a hearty breakfast with variety of selections from the menu. Did I mentioned the room was HUGE? Blacket Garden Flat definitely set a high standard in every way.
