Can't recommend this place enough. Only 2 bedrooms so it's very quiet, location is in a quiet street about a 20/25 minutes walk in to Edinburgh, a £1/5 minutes bus journey - buses are every 8 minutes or a £6 taxi ride.

Bedrooms are lovely and clean, stocked with little 'extras' like water, milk, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, sweets, fruit etc - a lovely touch. Hosts couldn't be more helpful and well the breakfasts are worth going back for alone!!!

Booked into this delightful B and B for weekend to meet up with friends. It was very easy to find after travelling from the NE of England up the A1, parking is available ( and Jas even sorts it out for you!)
Great welcome into their from both Isobel and James, the room we had was lovely. Huge bed ( and extremely comfortable) , immaculate room and bathroom. There were lots of nice touches---fruit, biscuits, water and milk in fridge, tea and coffee. The dining room is charming ,decorated in a lovely Scottish theme( including a picture of the lovely Sean Connery!).
I can't comment personally on the breakfast as I became ill overnight and had to cut our stay short, but my husband was well impressed with "The Braveheart". He didn't eat again till after 6 that night!
I 'd love to visit Edinburgh again, and would definitely stay here again .It's a 20-25 minute stroll into the city centre down a pleasant road lined with shops. The location of the B and B is fabulous...quiet street and the house has a lovely back garden.
All in all, I don't think this place could be bettered.

During our stay in Edinbourgh we had the joy of staying at the Edinbourough Garden Flat. Dispite the driving cold and the onset of rain the flat was warm and welcoming. Hot tea and a warm home awaited us after our days of sightseeing and adventures. Breakfest was filling and delecious and the hospitality was unbeatable.

I went to Edinburgh for a girlie weekend in October. After reading the reviews on Trip advisor we were keen to stay at Blacket Garden Flat. It was everything we expected ... and more. The hosts Isobel and Jimmy are lovely, very friendly and helpful with advice on buses and where to go. The accomodation itself is fantastic, on a tree lined avenue. The breakfasts are amazing ... worth the trip alone! Its very handy to get the bus, just around the corner into the city center think it cost £1.

I loved it so much I tired to book again for a trip in the new year but unfortunatly Isobel and Jimmy are away on holiday - and they deserve it too!!

Blacket Garden Flat is situated in the lovely leafy suburbs of Edinbugh, but is still only a short bus ride away to the city centre. We were made to feel so welcome by our hosts who looked after us from the moment we arrived there until we returned back home and Isobel had to post some forgotten items to us! The rooms were spacious but cosy and the breakfasts lovely - if your not suffering too much from the night before to eat them! I would definately recommend this to anyone looking to experience real Scottish hospitality.
