We arrived at Blacket Garden Flat on a beautiful October afternoon. We were traveling with another couple and I had made the decision to stay here for our two nights in Edinburgh, so was a bit apprehensive - but no need to be. This home is in a very nice older residential area of Edinburgh and only about 1/2 block from the bus stop. We entered through a very inviting small garden area and were given a warm welcome by Isobel and Jas. Both bedrooms are quite large with extremely comfortable king-sized beds. Our room had a sofa loveseat, a chaise lounge, dresser, wardrobe, desk, small refrigerator with juice, water and milk in it, a welcome tray with coffees, teas, shortbreads, and chocolates, a bowl of fruit, teamaker, hair dryer, TV, cd player with numerous cds, books, towels, washclothes, shampoo, soaps; I cannot think of a thing I needed that wasn't provided by our most thoughtful hosts. The room was warm, welcoming, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was delicious. I couldn't have chosen a place I would rather have stayed.
