We've B&b'd a bit, and occasionaly found those three "P",s. Cooked to order huge breakfasts, (not using a microwave - other places we've stayed we got used to the slightly over-nuked bacon with the trademark black corner ). Real fresh mushrooms, not canned. Dinners with real flare.
Owner hosts, with young Scots as staff, were available when we needed, and left us to our privacy when not. Located in a quiet area, easy bus access to the city center. Immaculate rooms, the bathroom sparkled. and roomy with a view for ours. And, we were there during the events of mid August, with travel arrangements up in the air, easy internet access was a huge bonus- (and in the event of a flight problem, it's right beside the bar!).
I'm 65, my wife's age is in the same vicinity, our room was on the third floor, and for the life of me, I don't get the comment about the stairs.
