“You get much much more than you pay!Excellent Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Me and my wife stayed here for 3 days on last April after stayed in London. For a price that is 1/3 from what we pay for a night stay in tune hotel london, i think we get so much more. The location is very convenient, so close to haymarket station and couple of bus stops. The room somehow bigger than room we got in tune hotel london. The bed is very clean and tidy, and the bathroom also very clean. We had read before that the room sometimes could get noisy from outside activities, but in our room it didn't happen at all, so we had a very good and sound rest. For mya opinion, this is the hotel with best value in UK.

I guess the easiest way to compare this hotel is actually to compare it to a good 'budget' airline. it gives great basic amenities and then a menu of add ons from which you can choose, all at reasonable pricing. Not everyone wants a safe, but it will only add £2 to your bill if you need one. The luggage storage deal for £2 a day also seems incredibly good value when compared to the airport or train left luggage areas. The bed is very comfortable (sitting on it now!) and the bathroom is compact, but spotless with a great shower. Ample power sockets for chargers etc, and good use of space in what is a relatively small area. I can see the western ramparts of Edinburgh Castle from the room, which is a nice bit of culture thrown in for free! Easy links to the centre of Edinburgh by train or bus just outside the hotel. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful and access to the residential floors is key card access. This is a budget hotel, but it delivers better value than you will probably pay for your room, and is certainly worth considering for short stops.

This is a great location and price. Very convenient location only a short taxi or walk or bus (need exact $1.50e) to get to the hotel. Take bus 26 or 31. The area is in construction moment but it shouldn't affect you at all.

Over all very good price, the concept of paying for only what you use is great. I'm sure more hotel will do this

Stayed there for two nights with a friend. Very good location, next to the Haymarket station and to the bus stop to the city centre.
The room was quiet, clean comfortable and fairly large. The hotel is new so it's really modern.
I would really advise it if you're staying for a week-end.

This was the cheapest in the 3star category and room was clean, front desk really helpful snd really close to city center. It's totally full the time were thete. Nice red and black decor in room. Was given free Internet, toiletries and full tv channels because I booked through hotels.com. otherwise it actually costs a few pounds extra per night for the latter mentioned extras. Perfect for a short stay in Edinburgh.

Stayed at this new Tune hotel in Edinburgh for two nights from 28th to 30th April 2013. Have stayed in all the London ones and this one was just as good. Staff very helpful and polite. Check in and out very easy. Although rooms are quite small, they are really modern, clean and have everything you want for a one or two night stay. We got a really good deal with their pre-opening offer. Didn't purchase any extras so a really budget stay. You have to pay extra for toiletries, towels, TV and the cheapest rooms are without windows. However, when you only use the room to sleep in, we find this quite acceptable. It's about a 15 - 20 minute walk into the centre of Edinburgh/Princess Street and Hotel is situated right opposite Haymarket Station in Edinburgh, so very convenient.

Room Tip: Rooms without windows are the cheapest.

We booked this hotel because of the price and the location. We paid £25 for an inside room. The room itself was small but sufficient for the price paid - no complaints. As we arrived in Edinburgh early we decided to leave our bags at reception, this only cost £2 per bag. The only thing I would recommend is that you buy a return train ticket between Haymarket and Waverley. The train only takes 4 mins and is very frequent. We decided to walk a couple of times to/from town and this took 20/40 as we got lost. I would def stay at this hotel again and I would highly recommend to others.
