Lovely, comfortable rooms, a friendly, professional service and an outstanding breakfast. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

I was in an enormous room with two very comfortable double beds and a huge flatscreen tv in this lovely hotel. It's in a great location, walking distance to the Haymarket train station and to the city centre. The rooms (unlike most hotels in older houses) are not chopped into smaller rooms so you get the original grace and balance of the room and it's beautifully decorated. The breakfast was also great but the best thing about this hotel is the staff. They couldn't have been more helpful or friendly and made it a fabulous stay.

Had a great stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful old, quaint, small hotel. Will definitely use again.

The hotel was a bit old-fashioned. But the bed was very comfortable, the shower fine and the breakfast was probably the tastiest I have ever had! No pre-prepared bucket of beans and mushrooms here. This was the real deal. Down-side: It is a good 10 minute walk from the centre and make sure you tell the taxi driver which Thistle Hotel you want - the other one is a 20 minute walk away down Princes Street.

Very welcoming and comfortable hotel, myself and my two daughters had a triple room which was more than adequate, 3 single beds were organised for us before check in. Room very clean and warm. Continental breakfast included in price which again was adequate , overall all experience of hotel was perfect for our needs. Would stay there again

The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Hotel was splendid and full of character (shame we never had time to relax in the hotel bar) staff kindly gave us a twin with double beds, and helped us with some directions, parking and looking after our luggage despite our best efforts to be as awkward customers as possible!

Excellent hotel
Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, it was very pleasant stay.
Location is great, very close to Haymarket train station. Staff members are extremely helpful, food is nice and price is very reasonable. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend this to my friends.
