What a treat to stay at this home with the lovely owner Francis Bennett. We had the garden view room and the garden was planned by her sister a master gardener form Vancouver. The B&B is a short distance from town, we walked home one day and it took us about 20 minutes. The area is quiet and you can park your car, forget about parking your car out front in a B&B down town. Francis has not finished her renovations yet, however it is not a problem for the guest as the common areas are completed. The attention to detail in our room was outstanding. The bed and bed linens were beautiful and luxurious with many types of pillows. The bathroom toiletries were of a high standard, not those little bottles but regular size with facial cleansing towels to remove makeup. Afternoon tea was always ready in our room when we returned and what a baker she is, the treats were delicious as were her breakfasts. The teas were served on beautiful china with embroided linens. Bottled water was on the nightstand every day. An excellent restaurant for dinner is just around the corner (The New Bell) and we ate their every night-it was that good! The Garonne House is definately value for money. We stayed at more expensive places in our travels and they didn't come close to Garonne House for value and attention to detail.
