You will absolutely not be disappointed staying at Geraldsplace. The B&B is just about as cozy and welcoming as can be, and Gerald is the most attentive host. Upon arrival, he gave us a tour of our accomodations, which included toiletries galore, coffee/tea service in the room, a mini-fridge with organic milk and filtered water, shortbread cookies, and a bottle of wine!
The breakfasts with Gerald are not to be missed. They start out with 4 different kinds of yogurt and granolas/muesli, and then on to the eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, fruit, artisan bread toast, and pretty much anything else you could ask for. We mentioned one day how much we loved Scottish salmon, and the next day he had bought some organic, wild-caught, Scottish smoked salmon from his fishmonger for us to try! Delightful!
I can't say enough good things about this place. The convenience of the location and the hospitality are so incredible.
And the BEDS! I won't even go into how comfortable our nights sleeps were.
There is also a laptop computer with free wireless internet available whenever you need it, TVs in the rooms with DVD and VCRs, and a large collection of both. Everything you could possibly want, we had.
Gerald is extremely friendly and has lots of interesting stories to tell - don't miss out!
