“Location -- and Room 209 -- couldn't be better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

We paid £93 for a Triple Room for 3 nights recently (!) and we ended up with Room 209. This room is very large and has THE view of Princes Street, the Edinburgh skyline and Castle. We rolled out of Waverly Street Station and were checking in 5 minutes later! Amazingly convenient. Not sure why some reviewers have a problem with Meuse lane; it is just a functional lane at the back of Princes Street, not threatening or dangerous....I want this room again and am already missing Edinburgh!

Outside area a bit off-putting but location is absolutely excellent and the top-floor views are unprecedented. We enjoyed being in the room so much both at night coming back from dinner when we left the curtains open and in the morning with a cup of tea watching TV.

Very good value and located in the heart of the New Town. The entrance is not very inspiring, being in a small service road but the accommodation is first class and clean. No frills but as we didn't spend much time in the room, it did not matter. Staff friendly and helpful. We arrived early and for a small charge were able to enter the room several hours early. The reception staff will also look after baggage for a donation to charity. Will use again.

Room 516 very large, clean and beds very comfortable. Noisy water pipes in this area of the Hotel need sorting ASAP as they wake you up very early as do the Refuse lorries emptying the bins. Edinburgh is a must, beautiful city.

perfect accomodation for staying in city centre edinburgh. few minutes walk from waverley staion ...shops all around..and plenty places to eat to suit all needs. the travelodge itself is spotless and newly refurbished had a lovely big room 303 outlook onto another building but it is city centre. Very comfortable and shower. Cant complain about anything.

Stayed one night at the Edinburgh Prices Street Travelodge to attend the Scottish Jazz Awards. Very convenient location for visiting the city centre and comfortable and clean. We would stay here again.

Just back from one night stay.Arrived at 4.50pm(entry 3pm).I was informed that my room was just being finished. When I went in the beds were as the previous people had left them. Dirty towels and cups etc.I went back to reception and was told that a room would be available soon.
This was now 5.10pm.I told him I was not paying for room. The gentleman Alan on reception was very good. He immediately refunded my Money. I am not a serial Moaner, But come on Travelodge this should not happen. Place nice . Staff nice. Entrance horrible.
Okay for an overnight stay.
