The Glasshouse will not disappoint you. To be honest, I was expecting a half-baked quaint Scottish version of a trendy hip hotel and was glad to see that this hotel can take care of itself. The lobby was a little sparse and under designed, but the rest of the common areas and rooms are lush, well designed and decorated to a high standard. Even the amenities were top notch. The price? Who cares! What would you pay for a feather queen suite with wild cherry kitchenette and dining area, a slate tiled bathroom with frameless shower, a full glass back wall that opens onto a patio on a roof top garden in Edinburgh? "The Snug" self service open bar was perfect for a night cap. The only area in which the Glasshouse fails is the valet...there is none.
