Stop and breathe. This hotel will certainly take your breathe away!
Situated in a fantastic location, this hotel will give you everything you need. It boasts fabulous views over the city and the castle in the backdrop.
As you enter reception the very tasteful decor is inviting and warm- where the love of details is evident throughout - and an attentive service, brings back to life the unique charm and welcoming ambiance of Scotland.
Greeted and welcomed, the receptionist chatted to me about my journey and if i would require anything at all to ring. A portor then carried our luggage to our room.
When he opened our door i was completely blown away. It was hugeeeeee! The room was tastefully decorated with original photos and paintings from local artists. The bathroom had heated flooring, plenty of clean towels and amendities to use.
There is a DAB cd player in the room, which was a silver slick sloping fascia with a changing colour part to it. They had some classical music playing as we walked in which was calming and welcoming.
There was a card in the room personally welcoming us from the manager.
Queen size bed which was so comfy and changed everyday.
About a hour after checking in, a member of staff came with some fresh fruit which was provided everyday with Glasshouse branded water.
Theres a gentleman on the door called William, who is the most pleasant friendly to would ever want to meet! He recommend places to eat and was just a great attribute to the hotel.
Next to the Glasshouse is the 'Playhouse', which has lots of different things going on i noticed quite a few productions and Singers going there.
The other side is a food-drink and Vue cinema complex. Frankie and Bennys, Lloyds, Italians lots but i cant remember all of them.
About 3 minutes up the way is a John Lewis which connects to lots of other department stores and general shops.
Approx 10 minutes you will reach a point where there is the art musuems and tour buses which cost around 8 pound each but last 24 hours and you can get on and off as you please so well worth the money.
On our final night at the hotel it was my boyfriends birthday and his mum had organised a bottle of Rose Champayne with handmade chocolates. Which were on the glass table in the room with cards and congratulations all organised by the member of staff.
Later on in the evening i got a birthday cake and left it in the staff hands and when we were in the snug a waiter bought it in with candles singing happy birthday! Fabulous!
This is a truely remarkable hotel and is like coming into a new home, offering comfort and sophistication.
