We had a marvelous 4 nights with the Stuarts and can't wait to return to Edinburgh and stay there again. The location is wonderful--we could walk to just about everything that we wanted to see and when we couldn't walk, the bus was close by. Our room was enormous and faced the courtyard, so there was always a sense of tranquility. Immaculate housekeeping! Having an interenet computer available was a real perk. John's breakfasts were a perfect start to the day. But the phrase that my husband and I kept saying was "thoughtful touches" because it seemed that they anticipated every possible need a traveler might have.

My two days with the Stuarts at their B&B was one of the nicest while traveling through Scotland. The breakfasts were the best - nice selection to choose from - I needed only one other meal the rest of the day because they were so hearty. The accomodations were attractive and clean. I was provided with information to help me get around the city. I was also provided with suggestions where to eat nearby. Something I didn't expect but greatly appreciated was a computer outside my room so I could access the internet. Jon and Gloria provide a homey atmosphere which made me feel very comfortable.

My dad and I stayed at the Stuarts in Feb 2006 for an important trip back to Scotland after 35 plus years. The accomdations were lovely and the location was unbeatable. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Gloria but Jon was an extrordinary host and when above and beyond to help us make our trip the trip of a lifetime for my dad - Thanks Jon!

Nothing about this B and B could have been better for my wife and me during our week-long stay. The hosts are congenial and helpful in every way; the breakfasts are large and the choices many; the location is great for walking and is adjacent to a large park/golf course. The amenities in the rooms are useful. The entire place is clean, quiet, and efficient. We'd recommend the place to anyone and would happily return for another week.

I'll agree with all that's been said. A great place, quiet, next to the park, a few minutes walk from some good restaurants up Bruntsfield Road, about a mile from the center of Edinburgh's main tourist attractions, clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed accomodations. Their strong reputation on TripAdvisor is deserved and we'd happily stay again.
