When i am in Edinburgh i will always stay at The Stuarts. Gloria and Jon are fantastic hosts and make you feel right at home in their excellent house. The location is perfect with easy access to all areas of interest including The Royal Mile, The Grassmarket and Princess Street and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The rooms are very comfortable and after a busy day, a good nights rest is assured-helped by the complimentary bottle of wine!!!. Breakfast is prepared using the freshest of ingredients-my favourite is the salmon and scrambled eggs. All in all an excellent choice when visiting Edinburgh.

We came to Edinburgh for a friend's wedding and stayed at The Stuarts B&B. The Stuarts B&B is a warm, cozy, and lovely place to stay. The room is stocked with all sorts of amenities and the bathroom is clean and spacious. There's even a heated towel rack. Each room also has internet access and if you don't bring a laptop, there's a shared computer in the hallway with internet access. The breakfast is superb and the location is convenient. Also, both Jon and Gloria, the owners are really lovely hosts.

My sister and I spent five nights/six days in Edinburgh in June 2005 and stayed with the Stuarts at their B&B in Edinburgh. We received a lovely welcome and Gloria went above and beyond when she helped my sister who had sprained her ankle and was walking with a cane. She provided extra pillows and cold compresses to aid in her recovery. The refrigerator in the room armoire gave us the opportunity to enjoy cold suppers (which helped save money) and Gloria's salmon and eggs are greatly missed here since we have returned home. Both Jon and Gloria are a wealth of information about the city and have a computer set up for guests to use. Most importantly, our room was so huge and the shower and bath were big enough for us both-no knocking each other over or knocking ourselves out in the shower. It was a pleasure to come to a place that felt more like home than a sterile hotel room. We highly recommend the Stuarts B&B located at 17 Glengyle Terrace (a 10 minute walk up the hill to the castle); you can reach them at (---). We are looking forward to returning in the near future.

We fell in love with the B&B, and Jon & Gloria! The Stuarts is located right in front of a very peaceful and lovely park. It is simple, but elegant. Our room was very spacious, well-equipped with all you need, including a little bottle of wine. The bathroom was amazing! It wa simple but beautifully decorated. The bathtub was very relaxing, which we loved. We didn't want to leave the bathroom! We enjoyed the excellent breakfast and interesting conversation with Jon, Gloria and other guests. We enjoyed it so much that we always had a late start! Once you leave this very warm and peaceful B&B, you can walk to almost everything you want to see in town, which we did. Gloria is very cheerful and friendly. Jon is such a lovable gentleman. When we think of Edinburgh, we think of them.
