We have just come back from a lovely weekend in Edinburgh. The Stuart's Bed and Breakfast certainly lived up to its five star rating. The rooms were spacious and short of nothing. The shortbread was my favorite. The beds were massive and very comfortable.

The bathroom was very luxurious with complimentary toiletries and fluffy bathrobes.

The food served at breakfast was delicious not to mention the company of the owners at breakfast, they were very friendly.

We would definitely stay there again.

We just returned from Edinburgh, a beutiful historic city. I don't usually bother with writing reviews but we were so pleased to find THE STUARTS B&B that I think it is the best way to SAY THANK YOU for an excellent hospitality & service. We only stayed one night and wish we could stay longer. TheTRADITIONAL DECOR with worm green and blue collours gives this place a much more stylish feel than the photos on their web-site would suggest.
The bathrooms are brilliant with large COTTON towels and bath-robes, very clean and modern appliances, but not at the cost of the COSY feel.

The beds have excellent matresses, pillows and cotton sheets. There is also a bodum cafetiere with freshly ground coffee, tea bags, a kettle, shortbreads, chocs etc. It is needless to say that the rooms are very very clean and well kept. Overall it feels that nothing hass been speared. It is a place that one can stay and relax. And all this for a very good value.
REAL CLASS

For me, a hotel or guest house should offer you everything you take for granted in your house plus that extra something that it feels like a treat, a bit of spoling yourself, and The Stuarts is just that.

PS. we found The Stuarts by chance while walking around, after spending a horrible night at "THE POINT" HOTEL, a much raved hip-hotel.. where the sheets are synthetic, the matresses old, the rooms cold, and a miserable feeling that they are trying to make easy money relying to an impressive entrance and bar...

As a student working and traveling throughout Europe for a year, I knew Hogmonay in Edinburgh was a must! Finding that all major accomadations in travel guides were completely booked, a friend recommended staying with Gloria. Fortunately, my friend and I were able to book a room, and we coudn't have asked for a better place to stay. Gloria is a lovely hostess, providing everything you need and making sure you have all the travel information, guides and local knowledge that will guarantee you a fabulous time while in Edinburgh! The rooms were adorable and set up with everything you'll need and more during your stay there. It's a short walk to the city center, is in a lovely area, and I can't forget to mention the delicious breakfast that awaited me in the kitchen every morning when I woke up! I highly reccommend a stay with Gloria if you're headed to Edinburgh.

My husband and I have stayed in many B&Bs in Europe and the US. The Stuarts' B&B in Edinburgh is one of the best. An excellent value, wonderful decor, comfortable beds, great showers! We appreciated the wine, tea and shortbread trays in the room as well. We look forward to returning. The golf across the street was a real plus!
