“Great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

Stayed at the Aparthotel for two nights. Lucky enough to be upgraded to a top floor apartment which was extremely well appointed, spotlessly clean and light. Ideal for the Scottish Parliament, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Would imagine it would make an ideal base for the August Edinburgh Festival. Any amount of good restaurants within walking distance.

Room Tip: Probably best to avoid any ground floor apartment facing directly onto the street and level with it.

Modern well equipped apartments in good location for Royal Mile and Old Town. Comfortable beds and well appointed en suite and bathroom. Two bed apartment is spacious and was clean and well maintained. Parking is available on site at an extra charge although overnight street parking is easy to find nearby as long as you are away before 8.30am. Tesco Metro nearby with all the basics.

This aparthotel has almost every feature one could desire. It has too kitchen facilities and amenities and is clean, tidy and has helpful, friendly staff. One downside is if you have never been before you may struggle to find it down what seems like a back alleyway. However once found, it is not far from Waverley station. At a £50 last minute deal this was fantastic value for money

This apartment was booked as a last minute offer but still paid more than we normally would for a 2 night stay, and while the staff were helpful and the location excellent, the room was disappointing and differed substantially from the photos in the advert. The room was "L" shaped and contained the bedroom with a sofa, small table and a kitchen at the bottom of the "L". We found the room hot and stuffy even with the windows open. Very nice separate bathroom, but the plumbing could be noisy, although definitely not as noisy as the garbage lorry which seemed to spend several hours in the vicinity early on the Monday morning.
Am sure there will be better apartments in what was a very nice building but cant say we were impressed with ours and will not be rushing back.

Arrived for a long weekend with 2 tired children in tow, walked from Waverley station with luggage, and our flat was just what we needed. Two comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sitting room & small kitchen. The receptionist was excellent, giving us tips for good family restaurants, the flat was comfy and clean, and of course the location is wonderful. We walked everywhere: up to the castle, over to Calton Hill, across the road to Dynamic Earth. The only downside (and its very small), is that its clearly a popular place and could do with a lick of paint here and there. Otherwise, we could not fault it at all.

My partner and me had a fantastic 2 night break at the Holyrood apartments over the last couple of days, We were upgraded on arrival to a 2 bedroom apartment and it had everything you could want and more,
The staff were excellent and always happy to help, (especially the red-head on reception).
I would strongly recommend these apartments to anyone as they are in a great location (bottom of the Royal mile)

Steve

Third time we've stayed, excellent, and quiet, location. High level of comfort and facilities, except that sofa beds aren't the most comfortable for just sitting. Quirky plumbing - hot water driven by a noisy pump under the sink, which comes as a surprise first time it's used. Floors creak, unusual in a relatively new building, so creeping around quietly if some-one's having a lie-in isn't an option. A Pizza Express, Tesco Express and a wonderful bread shop (ace croissants), just around the corner, plus two places for breakfast if you can't handle your own cornflakes.

Room Tip: To avoid creaking floors above you, choose top floor.
