Stayed here for a few days, found the rooms to be more than ample, plenty of room, staff were friendly and helpful. Great spot for easy access to the bottom end of the Royal Mile, just walk a hundred yards and you are on the street.

Plenty of places to eat just up the road, you can walk everywhere from here. Only downside was excessive noise one night from unruly young men in the courtyard below, there is student accommodation next door, otherwise a very peaceful location.

Highly recommended!

We stayed here as an emergency last minute accommodation as the Bridges self catering apartment that we originally booked wouldn't let us in or answer their phones.
This place was right on Princes street, it was bright, clean, quiet, ultra-modern, newly renovated and had a gym for me and the girls to have an am workout.
We had a group of 12 people to book for and this place could accommodate us all for a fantastic price last minute in really great accommodations.
We were so relieved and elated to be staying somewhere this pleasant, they turned around a really bad situation into a great time in Edinburgh. Thanks Holyrood Aparhotel!!!

We booked this apartment hotel for a one night stay in Edinburgh with our two small children.

It gave us everything we needed - secure parking, friendly welcome, clean and spacious accommodation, central location all mod cons and a DVD library!!

Our minor minor very small gripes were that the settee didn't have any cushions, and that the TV reception wasn't great. But we didn't go to Edinburgh to sit on the sofa and watch TV!. We also drank out of cups, as we didn't find any glasses, unless the next day!!

We will certainly book again

We found this hotel through TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. As a package, Holyrood Aparthotel cannot be faulted.

In particular, we found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The concept of an apartment with facilities was particularly handy.

Our main concern was the plumbing. It was difficult to operate and NOISY. We think it was a pump refilling the heater but it was so loud that on our last night, when we had to get up really early (3.30 AM) to get to the airport, we went without a shower for fear of waking everyone in the building.

We also note another review which commented on the noisy floors. We noticed that but weren't annoyed by them. It might irritate someone who was a light sleeper though.

Overall, we enjoyed our week's stay at Holyrood Aparthotel. It made a great base form which to explore Edinburgh and beyond.
